In these terms, HETT means HETT Panelen & Profielen B.V., established at Hoppenkuil 17, 5626 DD Eindhoven, the Netherlands. By you or the customer we mean anyone who places an order or requests a quote with us. If you are a consumer — you are not buying in the course of a profession or business — broader rules apply on a number of points. Those are stated each time.
These terms apply to every quote, order and agreement. If we depart from them, we confirm that in writing. Your own purchasing conditions do not apply unless we have expressly accepted them.
A quote is valid for thirty days unless a different period is stated. Prices in the webshop include 21% VAT; on a business quote they are exclusive of VAT, with the amount shown separately.
If a quote or the website contains an obvious error — a price that is clearly wrong, a mixed-up dimension — we are not bound by it. In that case we contact you before we put anything into production.
If you order in the webshop, the agreement is concluded as soon as we confirm your order by e-mail. If you accept a quote, it is concluded at the moment we receive your acceptance.
What the confirmation says is what we make: the version, the dimensions, the glass and the colour. Check those details straight away. If something is wrong, report it within 24 hours — then we can still change it at no cost.
We build to the centimetre based on the dimensions you supply. Those dimensions are your responsibility. Measure the opening at several heights and use the smallest figure; façades are rarely square.
If you are in doubt, send us a photo with your dimensions before you order. It costs you nothing and it saves us both a product that does not fit. If it turns out after production that the dimension supplied was wrong, the cost of a new product is yours.
Small dimensional deviations that are technically necessary — clearance for the rails, tolerance in the profile — are not defects.
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, including VAT and including delivery in so far as it has been calculated in your order. Payment is made using the payment methods shown at checkout.
For a bespoke quote we may ask for a down payment. That is then stated in the quote, with the amount included.
If you are a business customer paying on account and you pay late, you owe the statutory commercial interest and the actual collection costs, with a minimum of € 250. For consumers the statutory collection costs apply, after a reminder with a period of fourteen days.
Everything we deliver remains ours until it has been paid for in full. Until then you may not pledge it or transfer it to anyone else.
We state delivery times as honestly as we can, but they are indications and not strict deadlines. If it runs late, you will hear it from us. Exceeding them gives no right to compensation, but it does give a right — if it really takes too long — to rescind the agreement after you have given us a reasonable additional period in writing.
How delivery works, what it costs and what to check on receipt is set out in our delivery terms. They form part of these terms and conditions.
As long as we have not started production, you can cancel free of charge. If production has already started, we charge the costs incurred; for a product made entirely to your dimensions that can run up to the full price.
This is separate from the consumer right of withdrawal. When that does and does not apply is explained in our returns policy.
Our products are supplied as a kit, cut to size and pre-drilled, with instructions. If you assemble it yourself, you are responsible for a sound base, a level foundation and safe assembly.
Damage caused by incorrect assembly, an uneven base or modifying parts is not covered by the warranty. If you get stuck during assembly, call us: our technical department is happy to think along with you during office hours.
If you have it installed, this is done by our installation partner for a fixed price agreed in advance. We then ensure a workable situation on site in consultation with you: access, a clear working area and a prepared base.
If circumstances at your address make it impossible to work on the agreed day, we may charge the call-out costs and the lost half-day.
We give five years' warranty on the structure and the system — profiles, fixings and the operation of sliding walls and screens — and ten years on the material: aluminium does not rust and the coating stays colourfast under normal use.
The warranty applies with normal use and correct assembly, whether you assemble it yourself or have it done. Excluded from the warranty are: normal wear of moving parts, deferred maintenance such as a blocked gutter, damage from storm, hail or falling branches, incorrect assembly and modifications made afterwards.
Besides our warranty, as a consumer you always keep your statutory rights. A product must do what you may reasonably expect of it; our warranty takes nothing away from that.
Report visible damage or missing parts within 48 hours of delivery with a photo and your order number. Report other complaints within fourteen days after you discovered the defect or could have discovered it.
We solve it by replacing the part, delivering again or coming out to you — whatever is needed. If it falls under the warranty, at no cost.
Our liability is limited to the amount paid out by our insurer. If it does not pay out, liability is limited to the invoice amount of the order concerned.
We are not liable for consequential loss such as lost turnover, missed rent or costs incurred by third parties. These limitations do not apply in the case of intent or deliberate recklessness on our part, and not in so far as the law does not permit them for consumers.
If circumstances beyond our control prevent us from delivering — think of extreme weather, a strike, a breakdown at a supplier or a transport blockade — we may suspend delivery. If that lasts longer than six weeks, either of us may rescind the agreement without any compensation being due. Amounts already paid for products not delivered are refunded.
What we do with your data is set out in our privacy statement.
We may change these terms. For orders in progress, the version that applied at the time of ordering remains in force.
Dutch law applies to all our agreements. The Vienna Sales Convention is excluded.
If we cannot resolve it together, we submit the dispute to the competent court in the district of Oost-Brabant, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you may also bring the dispute before the court that is competent by law in your place of residence.
As a consumer in the European Union you can also submit a complaint via the European Commission's ODR platform.
Pick your product, send us your measurements and you will hear what it comes to within one working day. No obligation, no salesperson at your door.
